Ordering a StartKey Please note: The StartKey is ordered from your respective national representative or from the Customer Assistance Center (CAC) in Germany, (not via the Diagnosis User Help Desk)!
Detailed instructions on ordering and entering StartKeys can be found in the INFO information system under the heading “First Steps” or in the Support Tool on XENTRY Kit. |
Important note The 07/2013 update for XENTRY systems comprises two data media. Both XENTRY Connect and the XENTRY Tab/standard PC must be updated!
The “UpdateAssist” tool on the XENTRY Tab/standard PC desktop will provide information on how the update is carried out on the XENTRY system.
AddOns When installing AddOns, the Update Client is maximized. Please note that XENTRY Diagnostics may not be started while the AddOns are being installed. |

Full update The 07/2013 release involves a full update. First insert DVD 1 into the DVD drive and install it. The installation wizard will then request that you insert and install the second DVD. From now on, always use DVD 1 07/2013 for the repeat installation when carrying out a recovery.
Virus scanner: Symantec Endpoint Protection 2012 StarAntivirus is to be
replaced by a new virus scanner called Symantec Endpoint Protection 2012.
With this system, it will be possible to download new virus definitions on a
daily basis. Please note that you may need to make adjustments to your
firewall and proxy server.
Recovery The menu items “DAS” and “XENTRY” have been combined to become “XENTRY Diagnostics/ XENTRY DAS”. In the future, it will only be possible to delete these programs together.

Model series: 906 The first diagnostic data for the Sprinter facelift has been published in XENTRY Diagnostics with this update. Please note that the selection of diagnostic system DAS (Sprinter) or XENTRY Diagnostics (Sprinter facelift) depends on the VIN entered in XENTRY. In addition to the familiar diagnosis for the existing control units which have been ported to XENTRY Diagnostics, there are also the control units described below that were introduced with the facelift, as well as their commissioning and diagnosis.
