BMW ICOM Wifi Solution is now released by OBDResource R&D Center, we make both the old BMW ICOM A1 and new type BMW ICOM A2 with wifi / wireless function. If you have already got any type of the BMW ICOM before, now you can enable to BMW ICOM wifi function by our solution.

We provide 2 kinds of ICOM wifi function solutions:

  1. BMW ICOM Wifi Internal (For BMW ICOM A2)
  2. BMW ICOM Wifi external (For BMW ICOM A1 and A2)

You can enable the ICOM wifi function even without open the BMW ICOM A1 or A2 multiplexer! By our ICOM Wifi solution, you can switch very easy between LAN and Wifi, the default connection of course is for BMW ICOM LAN connection.

BMW ICOM Firmware Free Download and Installation Steps.

BMW ICOM Firmware already upgraded many times, each time the firmware changed the Application and Boot image.

If you want to make the ICOM Firmware update to date, you need upgrade each version, due to the BMW ICOM ISTA software version upgrade, you need make the BMW ICOM Firmware up to date as well.

 Useful Tips for your upgrading:

  1. Use Google Chrome or Firefox upgrade the firmware
  2. Firmware upgrade version depends on ISID and ISSS you are using
  3. Keep the power on during upgrading, use power supply or connect to car make sure the engine is on
  4. DO NOT restart until both bin files are all upgrade finished.
  5. If upgrade failed, do not worry, just re-upgrade to over write it.
