VAS 5054A USB Driver Installation Steps

Yesterday, i finished installation of VAS 5054A with Panasonic CF-19 laptop. I got some problems which i never met before, so i write it down including solution to share with:

1. CF-19 Touch screen Driver, I did a lot search then finally got it! After i installed the CD-19 Touch screen driver, am able to calibration.

2. VAS5054A USB Driver is another headache thing, i finished install the base software, and brand software, after that, i plug the USB cable to laptop use, it ask me to install the driver for 5054A! i find everything including C:/windows/system32/drivers/ no result. To solve this problem is quite for me now, you can download VAS5054A USB driver here and install it.

3. After you put the driver files into correct position, connect VAS5054A to USB port again, in device manager, update the driver, you will able to install it!

4. VAS 5054A Bluetooth Driver, usually this driver depends on your laptop, if you laptop already with Bluetooth adapter internal, you can just use the Bluetooth function instead of installation the driver, just make the machine and laptop match by input the code: 082145725 to match the VAS504A adapter. But if your laptop have no Bluetooth, you can just insert the USB Bluetooth and the driver will be install automatically. Also i give you a link to download the Panasonic CF-19 Bluetooth driver.

BMW ICOM A2 Released!!

The NEW Designed BMW ICOMA2 looks much more cool than the old BMW ICOMA1, the shape and feeling all great! the MOST adapter as well as other parts are same as the old ICOM.

BMW ICOM A2 and BMW ICOM A1 Compare:

Hardware:

The BMW ICOM A2 changed the main unit to new shape, it connect with an extra OBDII cable which can make you feel easy when diagnostic with cars, the old BMW A1 you can connect to car to test for sure, but you will find out how difficult when you trying to insert the stupid main unit into OBDII port directly. Even you use the OBDII external cable, you have to turn around and Twist the front part of OLD BMW ICOM A1.

BMW ICOM Fiber optical Adapter (Part B) is same with both BMW ICOM A2 and A1.

The LAN cable also same, but the BMW ICOM A2 LAN cable is a little shorter than A1.

Other parts are almost same, at least as far as i see.

Software:

The BMW ICOM A2 software is almost same with BMW ICOM A1, but some people say how about the wireless function? Well, the BMW ICOM A2 wireless function is able to be performed as well as BMW ICOM A1, if you have time, enjoy my YouTube Video of ICOM A1 Wirless function

Mercedes-Benz Xentry Connect 2013-03 Version Perview from OBDResource

We succesfully installed DAS/Xentry 2013-03 Version software which based for Xentry Connect new hardware, SD Connect and Super MB STAR as well.

The software installation progress takes over 50 mins, but you will spend more time if you can not find the “correct” way to do that. 5-10 hours maybe, it depends.

In the new version, software is not as good as hopefully, and there are too many “limiations” with 2013-03 DAS version. Anyway, it is pertty cool as you can see some new cars as well as the new photos.
